It comes from a hardwood gall that was on a branch that was on the ground (I have some pictures of it). There were several chamber within the knots of wood that I found when carving away at it. I collected it by cutting off the rest of the branch and throwing it in a whirl pak. It caught my attention because I saw ants crawling into it. There were three main chambers in it. 1 had only larvea, 1 had only pupea. The other chamber was bigger and had both L & P and many workers. There slow moving ants. So far in looking at it under the scope it looks like there are three dealate queens from 2 spp. There seem to be more than one spp of worker also. I have no way of knowing now if the two spp were seperate or together. A rough look at the gall only revealed 1 entrance though. [note by JTL: colln has workers and 3 dealate queens of smaller Adelomyrmex, workers of A. robustus, abundant brood. Can't tell if brood is mixed species or just one species.]",
