I went to the place and found both him and his mate running up the tree trunks, evidently feeding. I watched them for some time and finally lost sight of them. Shortly afterwards I found the nest within 20 yards of where the male had been singing. I first noticed some of the materials hanging down. Upon examining it closely I thought it looked like a nest of some kind though I could not detect the slightest entrance. The scale of bark was apparently closely attached to the trunk at the top and sides and where it bulged away from the trunk at its lower end the materials composing the nest filled the opening. Finally I got a stick and poked it somewhat emphatically when the female Creeper darted out at the side through an almost invisible hole or rather slit between the bark and trunk. She lit against a tree near at hand and clung there watching me in silence. I found the set of eggs complete as they were incubated at least four or five days. I took the nest with the bark scale in which it was built. After a little while the female came back, ran up the trunk to the place where the bark and nest had been, examined the spot in evident bewilderment and then flew to her former post on the next tree. In a moment she returned and lighting against the foot of the tree examined it closely all the way up to the top. This was repeated at least a dozen in perfect silence. Finally she set up a shrill creep creep and the male shortly joined her. For several hours after this they fed unconcernedly and while I was in the neighborhood, they did not again revisit the nest site.",

"description": "The Museum of Comparative Zoology was founded in 1859 on the concept that collections are an integral and fundamental component of zoological research and teaching. This more than 150-year-old commitment remains a strong and proud tradition for the MCZ.\n\nThe present-day MCZ contains over 21-million specimens in ten research collections which comprise one of the world's richest and most varied resources for studying the diversity of life. The museum serves as the primary repository for zoological specimens collected by past and present Harvard faculty-curators, staff and associates conducting research around the world.\n\nAs a premier university museum and research institution, the specimens and their related data are available to researchers of the scientific and museum community.",
