The SUNY Oswego Herbarium comprises approximately 40,000 specimens with global distribution, dating from the early 1800s through the present. The greatest coverage is from upstate New York and the Lake Ontario region. The collection includes primarily vascular plants with a small bryophyte collection. A large portion of this collection is part of the orphaned Syracuse University Herbarium. Curation and digitization of OSW was supported by NSF award #2204516. The collection is 95% digitized.
