The Ornithology collection of the NHM UPR-RP contains 392 specimens preserved for scientific use and outreach activities. The collection includes whole animals preserved in alcohol, whole skins, and taxidermy mounts. Collection records consist mainly of specimens from Puerto Rico and include specimens from North America, South America, and Asia with the oldest record dating back to 1937.
