The Mammalogy Collection at the ASU Natural History Collections contains approximately 9,000 specimens representing more than 160 species, with a geographic concentration in the southwestern United States with regionally important collections from the Kaibab Plateau, the Mogollon Rim, the Sonoran Desert, and the Santa Catalina Mountains. The research collection represents the second-largest mammal collection in Arizona. A teaching collection is housed separately.
